Beneficial for unstable pregnancies

NIPS is suitable for every mother. After a small amount of blood is collected, the mother will be able to understand the chromosomal condition of her baby. This is especially beneficial for more unstable pregnancies.

Amniocentesis is not the only option for high risk pregnancies such as those involving older mothers or mothers with a family history of genetic diseases. In all cases, NIPS can lower the risk of complications and increase the likelihood that chromosome abnormalities are correctly identified. Invasive procedures are not suitable for some mothers. For example, when there is a higher risk of premature delivery or when pregnancies involve placenta previa, insufficient amniotic fluid, hysteomyoma, amniocentesis will increase the risk of complications.

In addition, invasive procedures pose even greater risk when mothers have artificially conceived or if the mother has a history of miscarriage. NIPS provides an alternative option to blood serum testing and other invasive tests.
